This indispensable course is designed to expand the definition of “customer” to include individuals served both inside and outside the organization. Participants will understand how gathering information from others can be used to ensure that everyone benefits and ultimately works together in an effective manner. Through group sessions, participants will focus on fostering a positive environment and collaborative goal attainment as well as adopting “an attitude of resolution” when faced with an organizational conflict. They will practice exercises to strengthen active listening and effective communication skills during conflicts and other stressful situations, and learn strategies to avoid defensive behavior and ensure a mutually positive outcome. At the end of this course, participants will create a personal mission statement to foster clearer, positive corporate communications.
