Description:

In this course participants will learn to plan, configure, and operate simple WAN and switched LAN networks. Utilizing lecture, hands-on exercises, and simulations, the course covers the fundamental operation of a TCP/IP network, the purpose and application of routers and switches in today’s modern enterprise networks, the differences between routers and switches, and the uses of the various protocols in a TCP/IP network, including both routed and routing protocols. The services and protocols discussed in this course include those currently provided by AT&T, Alcatel-Lucent, and other telecommunications service providers.
