Category: Telecommunications Design & Distribution

Length: 8 hours

Prerequisite: None

Course participants will focus on terminating coaxial cables using the Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC) connector. They will be introduced to different BNC connector styles, tools, tool calibrations, and continuity check requirements. Each participant will be required to verify tool calibration, connectorize a cable pair, and perform continuity and transmission tests. In addition, when testing fails the student will be taught how to fix problems or issues causing the failure. This hands-on course is designed for technicians working in the field with DS3 coaxial connections.
