Many numbers used in electronics are either very large or very small. Obviously, to do calculations with these large and small numbers, a method of bookkeeping is needed. This method is called “scientific notation,” or “powers of ten.” The large and small numbers are usually expressed as a number between 1 and 10 raised or lowered by 10 to the appropriate power. This course will give participants a foundation that will be helpful in the TQT 1 Test Preparation course.
