This is the first time in American history that we have had four generations working side-by-side in the workplace. Each generation has distinct attitudes, behaviors, expectations, habits, and motivational buttons. At work, generational differences can affect everything, including recruiting, building teams, dealing with change, motivating, managing, and increasing productivity — as well as employee turnover, difficulty in attracting employees, and gaining employee commitment. Learning how to communicate with the different generations can eliminate confrontations and misunderstandings in the workplace and the world of business. This course will help participants identify the characteristics of each generational group and understand why each group acts as it does. They will leave with a blueprint for how to better communicate and collaborate with everybody.
